“No matter who you are or where you are on life’s journey,
you are welcome here.”
We embrace diversity in our congregation and community, and we affirm the dignity and worth of every person as created in the image of God.
We honor the guiding principle that discrimination is incompatible with Christ’s message of unconditional love.
We welcome into full membership and participation in all aspects of our church life persons of every race, national origin, age, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, physical or mental ability, economic or marital status and faith background, and we affirm and celebrate all loving and committed relationships.
We find in our diversity the love and unity Christ made possible. Jesus said, “Here are my brothers and my mother,” and we can attest to the powerful feeling of love in the Family of God.
However, we believe it is not enough to love one another: Jesus also commanded us to love our neighbors, making it clear that our neighbors include everyone.
We affirm that God can use us as individuals and as a community of faith to bring about understanding, to promote justice, and to restore the broken or wounded.
God is still speaking, if we will but listen. This is why our members, while active within Valley Community Church, are also active in the wider community.
Our members are quick to assist those in need, supporting these and many other organizations:
Grant County Senior Center
Habitat for Humanity
United Campus Ministry at WNMU
Join us, as we live out what it means to be the Family of God, a community that includes, loves and serves.
